That`s not what i mean.

In my serverlist in Backup Exec are five servers, some of them are named "servername" and some are named "servername.domain.local". Its just cosmetical but i would like to rename them all to "servername".

Perfect, now I understand...Google Translate didn't do a proper job.

You can remove the servers from the selection list, and then re-add them. This assumes you have a custom selection list. If it is a selection list based on domains for example, then you'd need to check your naming conventions etc. within AD, as Backup Exec would simply detect how it is named.
