BE licences do not expire.  Once you entered them, you can use them forever.

You do not need a licence to use Continuous Protection Server.  It is part of BE 2010.  However, if you are using CPS, then you should plan to move away from it.  BE 2010 is the last version of BE with CPS and there is no replacement.

To backup Exchange and SQL Server databases, you need the Exchange Agent licence and the SQL Server Agent licence.  If you do not have them, you will be able to backup Exchange and SQL Server databases in trial mode which lasts for 60 days from the date of first use.  Once the trial period has expired, you need to purchase and install the agent licence.  Otherwise, your backups will fail.

To check what licences you have to to Help ---> About and click on the Licence Information button.
