Legacy unix agent on Leopard Mac OSX 10.5 server

Hi,

We currently run the legacy unix agent on of all our Mac OSX servers running 10.4 server, with great success.
However, I cannot get this to work on a new 10.5 Xserve.
I appreciate that Symantec's official line is that we must upgrade to Backexec 12 and get the new mac agent, but obviously this isn't something that can happen over night (we have 50 Windows servers as well).

Does anyone know of a way to get this working temporarily, whilst I am awaiting the inevitable upgrade to version 12? After the command line install I am getting this error:

Backup Exec -- Unix Agent, Version 5.01 Revision 5.045
Copyright 2001 VERITAS Software Corporation. All Rights Reserved.
./agent.be: Using configuration file: agent.cfg
./agent.be: Agent configuration OK.
./agent.be: Workstation Name: "10_1_10_21"
**** getservbyname(grfs, tcp) failed! ****
**** using default port number(6101) for resource advertising ****
./agent.be: Backup Exec Agent ready to service requests.
merged_addr() gethostbyname(odystarserver.com) failed!!
NRLAdvertisementSender: Resource advertiser out of memory2

Or is the fact that I am on 10.5 insignificant to this error?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
