I'm running Backup Exec 2010 and I am trying to erase some tapes, but the jobs keep hanging in "Queued" state. It only happens with one server but it is the only BU server in that domain. We knkow it is not the tape device because we hooked up a second tape device (that ran an erase job on a different server) and the erase job hangs on it as well. I have updated all drivers and software to the latest, but still can't get it to run. The tapes need to be erased by this server, because the data is of a sensitive nature and rules prohibit me from exposing it to any other domain. Any suggestions?

Try Pause/Unpause on the server under Devices in BE...

The tape library is a Dell 6020.
i tried the pause/unpause and it didn't work

1) stop all the BE servcies
2) run the Dell diagnostics utility against the tape library and make sure that you select the write test.
