MMS Server Fail Restore Issue.

HI,

Our backup scenario consists of an MMS and a CAS setup, all our backup jobs were duplicating between the two for failover purposes, unfortunately our MMS server has now died, I went to recover a backup from the CAS server and it moans that it cannot because the MMS is offline, I can see the job stored in the catalog on the CAS side and has duplicated to the CAS server, but it will not allow me to view any of the folders or restore from it, thought the point of replicating the data was if the MMS did die I can recover from the CAS duplicate.

Any help appreciated.

Do you know what catalog mode was configured against the MMS servers connection to the CAS? (amongst other things this mode affects what you can and can't do when a server is missing/down)

Whatever mode was used, run a catalog job against the backup set/storage device on the CAS itself and see if that helps

Catalog mode is set to use storage base, when try to catalog or even open the backup set I get the following attached error.
