MS06-019 Issue--- Backup Size increased after Exchange Patch

I am running Exchange 2000 SP3 on Windows 2000 SP4 machine.
After applying patch MS06-019 and Post-Service Pack 3 Update Rollup of August 2004 I am facing the problem in backing up the Exchange Mailbox Store.
Actual size of the Exchange Mailbox is @ 9 Gb but the Veritas BackupExec backup shows and takes @27 Gb.. Approximately 3 times.
Any comments, suggestions on this ?

Information store backup or brick level?

Is it clearing out you exchange logs after you backup the information store?

check the exchange server application log and look for ESE event to see your Backup Exec Information Store backup is clearing the exchange logs.
This is assuming your backing up the Information store which you should be doing over a mailbox backup

Hi Steve,
I am taking backup of Exchange Mailbox Store.

I have tested by taking NT backup of Exchange Mailbox, it is coming perfectly fine..
