Mac Compatibility question

So if I am understanding the various HCLs and SCLs correctly it is impossible to backup a PowerPC Mac (running 10.5.8 specifically) with an LTO5 tape drive connected to a Windows media server, is this correct?

Yes.  That is correct.  PowerPC is not supported.

So when was PowerPC last supported? BE 12, 11? Sorry, I am new to BE and it seems all the links to previous SCLs I am able to seach for are broken.

I think the question is moot because you can't buy an older version of BE.

Actually, I think I may have found it! It looks like 12.5 supports my tape drive, Dell PowerVault LTO5-140 and supports Mac OS X 10.5 with PPC.

What are the big things I would be missing out on using 12.5 instead of 2010?
