Mac OS 10.5.8 Backup Exec Help

Hello, n00b here to the forums.  I have a Mac where the Backup Remote Agent keeps failing, which then doesn't backup to Backup Exec 12 on the server. 

I have been using these commands every time to restart the agent after it's stopped:

cd /Library/Startupitems/VRTSrams
sudo ./VRTSrams start

.....or a reboot usually fixes it, but I can't tell what's causing the agent to stop.

Is there anyway I can set up a task on the Mac where everyday the task can continously stop/start the agent?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

May sound like VooDoo Tech support, b ut have you tried removing and reinstalling the MAC Agent?
