Management Pack for Microsoft MOM 2005 for Veritas Backup Exec 10d

The Management Pack of Veritas Backup Exec has 5 rules monitor the 5 services in Microsoft MOM.
But, when any of the 5 services is down, the MOM does not pop-up any alert.

Hi Deepali,

Sorry for my late reply.
The case is -
1. I have installed the Backup Exec 10 management pack into the MOM 2005 server
2. When I tested the services by manually turning down the 5 services relating to backup exec, the MOM server cannot pop any error on it. From the management rules settings, it should report a "service unavailable" error.
3. I tried all 5 services, but no alert for any one.

Appreciate your help.

Hello Chris,

Is there any firewall on the MOM server? If yes, ensure that port 1270 is opened on the firewall. If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Management pack.

Revert if the issue persists.
