Media Set for GFS Rotation Scheme

Hi,
Please help me make a GFS rotation scheme

I use Backup Exec 2010 and a robotic tape library with 19 tapes.

I want three media sets:

One daily from Monday to Thursday.
Another weekly, every Friday
Another monthly until year's end.

Every Friday a Full Backup

Daily from Monday to Thursday difeerncial or incremental (I dont know  yet which one is better)

The last Friday of each month full backup, and so on until year's end.

Question:

What would be the append and write protection for each media set?

Saturday and Sunday do not need backup

OPP and AP are set according to your company's requirement which you should be familiar with. Nobody will be able to set those parameters for you This document will help you figure out what you need http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH5459

What are the variables need to be known? (start and ending times?)

You need to know how long your company wants to retain the data so that you can set the OPP accordingly. There is no point in me suggesting that you protect your tapes for 1 week when your company needs to be able to restore data from a month back.  Also, you need to consider how many tapes you have.  If you have only a few tape, obviously you cannot keep much backup sets.

If you append to a tape, it will extend the protection period so you have to cater for this extension.
