Hi,

I trying to migrate data from BE 10d to 2010 R3, the problem is that is necessary install the new BE version in a different server than the original. The customer is using the 10d only for DLO, so I need the information that are in mdf files, because the users need continuing restoring their information.

I follow the information of the following Tecnotes without results, each time when I finish the Media and Device or Server services doesn't start.

TECH74415 TECH50537

I use a new install of BE 11d as pivot to go to 2010 R3.

Have you looked at http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH53407

You may need to build out a staging machine, clone the 10d install there, upgrade to v11, then upgrade again to 2010 and then migrate to the new production server

Well finally I can export data to new install. I do a combination of two documents (TECH50537 and TECH53407) and upgrade the database from 2000 to 2005, that is a change using management studio utility.

I mark your comment as solution.
