Migrate to BE 2014

I'm with the same case. But I still have to keep all catalogs and settings.

So, first, I have to migrate BE 12 to 12.5, after this, migrate Windows Server 2003 to 2008 R2, then I could finish to migrate BE to 2014. Is it alright?

Hi Diogo,

Referencing this query below:

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/upgrading-backup-exec-12-not-2012-2014?page=0

You'd need to upgrade BE 12.x to BE 2010 R3 with the latest SP and any additional patches. Then upgrade to WIndows Server 2008 R2, and then upgrade to BE 2014.

BE 12.5 doesn't support being installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 as a media server.

With each upgrade, don't forget to grab manual copies of the Data/Catalogs folders before proceeding.

Thanks!
