Migrating backup exec 12.5 on windows 2003 to backup exec 2010r2 on windows 2008 R2

Dears ,

we have one caso and 5 nedia servers running backup exec 12.5  on operating system 2003 32 bit

we want to migrate them to  backup exec 2010 R2 on new operating system 2008 r2 64 bit

what is the best practice to  migrate them correctly

note:  one of media server connect with tape library and others media servers  backup to folders

this procedure http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH67768 cannot be performed as  i want to upgrad from 21.5 to 2010 on a different system

and this Instructions for moving Backup Exec (tm) 10d or above to another computer system which has the same version installed.

...you need to migrate your CASO server first. Once done, you can then migrate your media servers.

I'd also recommend getting hold of BE 2010 R2 SP1 and applying that to your servers (CASO first; MMS servers second), and then running a LiveUpdate on your servers to get the remaining patches...
