NDMP backup fail - Lost connection to agent for Windows

Hi,

We run BE 15 (14.2) on Windows 2012 R2 server. I am attempting to use it to backup a DELL SCV2000 series NAS using NDMP.

The backup starts OK but after a couple of days (9.77TB) we get a failure message:

e000fefd - The Backup Exec server has lost the network connection to the Agent for Windows.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what may be going wrong or where to look for more information?

Are you sure that you are using NDMP?

I don't see a Dell SCV2000 on the BE HCL for NDMP.  I don't see that the Dell SCV2000 supports NDMP.

Might you be using iSCSI or CIFS to back up the NAS?

Hi Larry,

Apologies, the model numbers for these products are hard to find through the Storage Manager console.

The SCV2000 is the SAN behind the NAS I am trying to backup using NDMP. The NAS is a compellent FS8600, this is what I am targeting with the NDMP backups.
