NDMP license cost

Can somebody advise me if the NDMP licence is a one off cost or does this need to be renewed every year?

The product license is valid for a specific version of BE. It does not need to be renewed each year and is valid as long as you use that version of BE.

The maintenance license (support contract) is an add-on which is to be renewed each year and this provides access to technical support and upgrades.

Before purchasing the NDMP license make sure what you are storing on the device in question is appropriate for backup via NDMP, as just because you use NDMP hardware as storage does not mean NDMP is the best way to backup the data (i.e. not the best way if VMware Datastore, iSCSI LUNs etc are involved)
