Need Help on Licensing (BE RAWS and Agent for MS Exchange Server)

Hi,

I need help on Licensing... Do I need to buy BE RAWS License for MS Exchange Server even if I already have a BE Agent for MS Exchange? unfortunately I need also to backup some files on the said Server.

Nope you don't need to buy RAWS as well - The Exchange Agent License allows you to backup the file system and system state of the Exchange server as well.

The same applies to other agent license (i.e. SQL etc)

No, a remote agent is included in the Exchange agent.

Hi since your already have the Agent License a MS Exchange Server , you no more need RAWS for that same Server. The MS Exchange Agent License includes use right for RAWS.

Thanks Colin.. thats what i thought so.. I just coudn't find any documents from symantec to prove it, I need it just incase our internal audit will ask about it... thank you all guys for helping..
