Need a linux version of Symantec Backup Exec 10?

Hello everyone,

We have purchased  Symantec Backup Exec 10, 12 and use it to write infomartion to a tape. This is windows version. We switched our operating system to linux. So could I have a linux version of the software from them without any charge? Or should I buy?

Hi,

If you're using BE 12, this isn't possible. Only Windows is listed as a media server...

Also not possible for BE 10, or BE 2010! In this regard, you're out of luck...you need a WIndows-based media server...
