Current we backup to LTO tape media, about 6TB per week. I know there are various methods for duplicating backups but I'm looking for a solution that would allow me to automate the duplication of the most recent full and all the incrementals available on the day fo the duplication.
Manually duplicating (with many tapes) is terrible.
I've tried setting up duplication stages but the jobs fail if there aren't enough drives available rather than just waiting for the drives to become free. That's the biggest issue I have at this point, duplication fails immediately if there aren't two drives available to do the tape-to-tape duplication.
What other options are there that can be scheduled ahead of time and run on a specific day?
