I'm using the Backup Exec 10.0 CASO in private backup network area and multiple network ID environment.
The backup private network area is composed with 150.150.248.0, 150.150.249.0, 150.150.250.0, 150.150.251.0 and it is a position multiplex network ID environment.
With the multi MMS servers which use 150.150.248.0, 150.150.249.0, 150.150.250.0, 150.150.251.0 network ID which use one CASO server which uses 150.150.248.0 network ID.
I used the network interface of the backup whole aspect and for the backup to want becomes in order to select BackupExec default network interface, "Use any available network route for remote agents not bound to the above Network ID" option to advance the work after the uncheck.
But the network ID where the work fails with an error together is different from the jobs client the backup "The media server was unable to connect to remote machine SERVER1 using selected subnet: 150.150.xxx.0".
We in order to solve this problem which composes reoute table use subnet mask 255.255.252.0.
And it changes with 255.255.252.0 and the subnet mask which from the local backup network ip address which it uses it uses also.
When it sets the subnet mask which from the local bakcup network ip address where the backup work fails but it uses with 255.255.255.0.
Us the route table sets with 255.255.252.0 and the subnet mask which from the local backup network ip address must use it uses sets with 255.255.255.0.
Me it searches the cause and solution method against this problem.
