New Backup Job - directory or file was not found

Hi All

Failing to add a new win2003 server for a new backup job. Following is the error msg on the 'Logon Account Selection':

Failed to log on to: servername

The Directory or file was not fount, or could not be accessed.

I have done following:

On the remote server, the backup exec service is running under the local account. I have added a domain user into the local admin group on the remote server.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do ensure a System Logon Account (SLA) exists in the format (domain\user) and has the appropriate rights as per http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH23689

The Backup Exec services (except the Remote Agent service which uses the local system account) should be using the same account as the SLA.

Lastly, do check if port 10000 is open which is the default port used by the Remote Agent.
