New SDLT Tapes showing as cleaning media

I have purchased new SDLT Tapes and some are showing as Cleaning Media when inventory completes. How can this be prevented or resolved?

Possibly update the Tape Drive Firmware. I have found this helps. Also, reset cleaning statistics in the device properties. And last but not least Re-label the tapes.
