We use the Backup Exec VMware Agent to backup the virtual Machines ("over vCenter Server"). Now we would like to migrate to vCenter 6.5. For that we will do a new vCenter Server, then migrate the ESXi Hosts to this vCenter. How does this work with Backup Exec? Can i continue the current backups or do I have to do new Full-Backups of the VMs?
You would have to add the new vCentre server as a new VMWare server and then create new VM backup jobs using this new server. You cannot use your old jobs which use the old server as the source.
