No Connection to the Server W2012 R2

Hello,

I have Backup Exec 15 on a W2012R2 server (german). I connected to a W2003 Server and W2008R2 server and Backup works.

I try to connect to a new W2012R2 Microsoft Server, BE installs the Client on the remote sever and the BE Agent Utility looks ok on the remote server (security shows the Backup server and the expiration date 2016.)

When I try to connect it does not work. Also when I try to use the right mouse key to connect manually or do the "Test connection" it says "Identificatindata could not be testet" (but the Agent installation worked!?!). Both Servers are german.

Firewall is off. Any idea? Thanks

Make sure that your BESA has the rights according to these documents

The BESA is used for all the BE services, except for the remote agent service which can run as LSA.  The BESA is also often used as the credential for any backups.

Make sure that UAC is also turned off, and that any antivirus installed isn't blocking beremote.exe.

Also make sure that the Backup Exec service account is a local admin on that server.

Report back with an update.

Thanks!

Hello,

UAC was already turned off on the remote W20012R2 Server which I would like to Backup.

I turned UAC off on the backup server with BE.

We use System Center Endpoint Protection on all servers, I think they are all configured the same (incl. the 2 servers I can backup). I think this might not be a problem, but I will check with IT in January.

The services are configured to run as local system?

When I try to connect to the remote server  I use the "System-Login-Konto" (which installed the client remotely).

I also tried to create new admin accounts which should have all rights on both servers ... no luck yet

beremote.exe needs to run with local admin rights if this is a remote machine, and not the media server. So that's correct. Can you resolve DNS between the media server and the remote server? Thanks!

Is port # 10000 open on the remote server ?

What error do you receive when you run an actual backup (instead of credentials test) ?
