No Deduplication Folder Option in Backup Exec 2010 R2

Hello!

Deduplication Folder Option is not available in Backup Exec 2010 R2  when i go for configure device assistance option.

please advise.

During installation of Backup Exec have you installed the DeDuplication option...??

Please re-confirm the same. Go to TOOLS>>INSTALL OPTIONS and LICENSE KEYS... then click on Next.

When you reach the options selection page ensure that the DeDuplication Option is selected. If its not selected then select the DeDuplication Option and then complete the installation.

Now check if you are getting the DeDuplication Option in Device configuration.

Have you installed your BE on a 64-bit machine?  You need to install BE on a 64-bit machine before you can use the dedup option.
