No indication of location of corrupt file in Exchange;

For one of our clients the backups are now failing with the following message:

Server\ Microsoft Exchange Mailboxes\ 䅁B86844DD713C7C10BE217FEC22B94154D98C0C4103A97C79" is a corrupt file. This file cannot verify.

There is no indication (as there usually is when you have a corrupt email) as of what file is corrupt and its location.
Is there any way of finding this out somehow?
When checking the job history to find out why it actually failed we get the following message and all is now displayed in text mode instead of in XML format:

Illegal xml character.
599: C:\ Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\Data\BEX_SERVER_00270.xml
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
