Liebe Community!
Exchange & AD aufgesetzt und Symantec BE 2012 installiert.

...if you do GRT-based backups of Exchange it will stage to C:\Temp by default on the media server.
Otherwise, as long as you Catalog and Inventory the media you should be able to restore it.
Thanks!

Hi,
Google Translate doesn't translate this well...what you're asking is in the event of a server failure, can you take the backup media and restore to/on another server?
If so, then the answer is yes...it is easier if you have a copy on your backup media of the Data/Catalogs folders, and if not, you have to recatalog the media on the new server to add that information into the BEDB.
Depending on what it is, it can take a couple of hours, but it is possible.
If you don't have the Data/Catalogs folders, you'd basically do the following:
1. Load BE onto the new server.
2. Patch it and push-install the RAWS agent to any remote servers.
3. Run an Inventory of the backup media, followed by a Catalog job.
4. Restore...
Thanks!
