Hi,

is it possible in Backup Exec 2012 to have a backup job notification in a shared local folder?

My OS : Windows 2008  R2

Thank you.

No.  Why would you want this?  Normally, people wants a notification as an e-mail so that they do not have to logon to a server.

Thank you for your answer

Yes, i'm agree with you and usually we use this solution. But in this specific case we have no mailbox to notify, and the more easy solution would be to open a file in shared folder.

Well you could share the job logs folder - but this might be difficult for an end user to review.

By default this is that Data folder (but can be a custom path with a registry edit and service restart)

Note: If you do customize it then the customization only covers new job logs so leave the existing ones where they are as otherwise you won't be able to open them in the GUI as the paths are individually hard coded in the BEDB at they time the logs are created.

You can try using BEMCLI to create a report of the backup status and then drop that output into a html file or a csv file on a desired target.
