OFO: Exceptions due to"...unable to allocate cache file. Check disk space."

We are running BackupExec 9.1 on Server 2000. The file server creating the problem has a Data volume with a capacity of 526GB. 249GB is used and 277GB free.

The data being backed up from this drive has been broken into 5 selections (groups of files) with no redundency in the sets.

The Data is on the D (526GB) drive. The OFO is set to use this drive (D). So, it is cahing to the same drive that is being backed up - but that drive has more than enough space.

As of now all five are creating exceptions with this in the log:

"Advanced Open File Option used: Veritas Volume Snapshot Provider (VSP).
OFO: Snapshot error (0xa000851c): VSP SnapShot CacheFileBroker was unable to allocate cache files. Check disk space."

This is a file server holding critical data and I need everthing to backup - no exceptions.

Would adjusting the cache size to 100% for both min and max help?

I have already disbled the simultaneous snapshot feature with the reg edit in HKML/Software/Verisat.../Backup/Redirect - DoSingleVolumeSnap to a value of "1".
