ORA-19506: failed to create sequential file, name="BE_U", parms=""

Hello

We have problems to backup oracle database or archivelog with backup exec 2014.

backup exec 2014 is installed in windows 2008 and oracle database is installed in windows  2003 and oracle version is 10.2.0.2.

I recently update backup exec with last service pack and agent in remote systems but the error doesn’t change. With the old backup exec 11 work find.

yes, oracle is ranning on Win 2k3 SP2.

Double-click the Oracle server from the Backup & Restore tab. Click on Job History on the left pane and on the right-side you will find the job log.

Does the RMAN backups work fine when you run it outside of BE ?

yes, bakcup with RMAN work fine. With old installation of backup exec 11 works fine too but we have to change tape drive and backup exec 11 doesn't support the new tape so we have install the new backup exec 2014.

Seems that RMAN is not able to send backup through ch0

If possible, would you pls reboot the Oracle server and retry the backup. Maybe possible, the RAWS update requires an reboot.
