Is it possible for a backup job to run on multiple tape drives? I have a very large backup job that is taking up to 20 hours to complete. My hope is to run this job using two tapes and two tape drives thus slashing the time in half. Is this possible?

With backupexec you can not span one job to mutiple tape drive but yes you can do that with Netbackup

Hi Ultan,
Backupexec is S/W which is actually used to support small & mid size enviorment & it is Netbackup which is actually used for large scale enviorment & has lot other great features too in compare to backupexec
Also this feature was never there in earlier backupexec version too but yes will be really good if backupexec bring this in there new release
You can give enhancement request for same
