I have a problem by a customer. The backup job failed and when I open the log I get the error page:

One or more errors were encountered converting the job log into a web page for display. The job log will be displayed in text format.

Unexpected end of input. 161: C:\Programme\Symantec\Backup Exec\Data\xxx_01769.xml

I have re-register the msxml.dll. After this I run an test backup and I can see the xml inforamtion as a webiste. But the main backup job every night, get the error 161. What is the solution for this problem, what ist error 161?

the issue is ideally caused because of failure of the services... thought the job log cannot be opened..you can check the job log which is in teaxt and see what excatly is the error ....

OK - I get the error: e0008821: Job was recovered as a result of Backup Exec RPC service starting. No user action is required.

I have checked the KB articles, No solutions for my problem.

What can I do?

Is this happening to all your job logs or just this one?  If it is just this one log, the job failure could have caused the log to be terminated abnormally.  This error could be ignored.

This happening by all jobs -> by the backup every day.

Now, I have hope the last SP5 for Backup Exec 11 help, but the LiveUpdate say, he cannot install the update (LU1812).
