Oracle backup job failed after server patching

Hi, all
Recently we installed MS december patches into our media server (Windows 2003 Enterprise SP2),
and after restart the server, our backup job of Oracle failed with the below message.

Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe000846b - The resource could not be backed up because an error occurred while connecting to the Backup Exec for Windows Servers Remote Agent.
Make sure that the correct version of the Remote Agent is installed and running on the target computer.
Final error category: Resource Errors

The backup is a DBA initiated Job and we can see the Backup Job appear in the Job monitor panel but after a while the error with abaove failed message will prompt.
We did liveupdate to update the backup exec also no cure..
Is there anyone have the same experience on this?

After performing live update on Backup Exec we need to push out the remote agents on all the remote server for update.

The Oracle and Meida server are in the same physical server, in this case, do we still need to push the remote agents installation?

Is Backup Exec installed on Oracle Server? If yes, no need to push the agent, but if its a different server, yes we need to push the agents...

Yes, BackupExec installed on Oracle server, so the problem still not solved as it occur in the same server.

1. Make sure Backup Exec Service Account is a member of local administrator and Domain Admins group as well.
 

2. Ensure that all the services (except for the Remote Agent which starts as the Local System Account) are started using this account information.
