Physical volume library media not found

I have two separate and nonrelated systems both running BE and Datadomain using DDBOOST and both have occasional annoying errors, I have worked with support and never ever resolved issue permanently, error gets back after a while, it could be week without an error, or even more than a month but still error is here.

Media labeled '****' could not be found

I’ve done recreating DDBOOST storage

recreating all the jobs

inventory and catalog of the storage

manually clearing faulty images from DataDomain (instructed and guided by Symantec support)

and none of it helped in the longterm.

Anyone had this and resolved it ?

Are you using the DD as OST appliances

yes, using it in combination with DDBOOST and DataDomain OST plugin

Have you checked the HCL for your version of BE to ensure that the model and firmware of the appliance is supported?

the model DD160 and firmware are supported, firmware was updated from time to time in hope that it will clear the occasional issues but it didn't...

Make sure that the network is not congested during the backup
