Plug-in for Vmware Vcenter Appliance

I have installed de Backup exec Plugin for on vmware (version 2.1). With vCenter Client i connect to the vCenter Applianbe. When i click on the tab Symantec Backup Exec and log te backup server i see no info (see attachment). The same view when i log on a singe ESXi server.

Is the vcenter appliance not supported.

 

  • Vmware  vCenter Server applicance 5.5.0 2442330
  • Vmware ESXi  5.5.0 1623387
  • Vsphere Client 5.5.0

You have to login to the vSphere client with the same connection  details as used to add the vCenter into Backup Exec in the first place.

If you used FQDN for vCenter in Backup Exec you must use FQDN in vSphere client

If you used just hostname in Backup Exec you must use just Hostname in vSphere Client

If you used IP address in Backup Exec you must use IP address in vSphere client.

 

Of course use the same credentials as well ;)

The appliance isn't listed, but vSphere 5.5 is.

However...BE 15 supports the appliance. Check the SCL below:
