Possible to disable vtl library only from managed server not caso?

Hi,

I have BE Caso with hp D2D virtual library. VTL has 2 tape drives. I have multiple servers with remote agents and one managed backup exec server. These use same shared VTL.

I have bought 1 Virtual Tape Library Unlimited Drive Option for second tape drive.

How I can disable virtual library drive 2 only from managed backup exec server(server2) not from caso(server1)? If I disable the tape drive 2, it disables it also from caso server.

Hi Matti,

Where are your device and catalog information stored? Centralised on the CASO; distributed between the MMS and CASO; or located locally on the MMS?

It is centeralized on the CASO.

...I think that is where your problem lies. The MMS doesn't really control anything...the CASO does. You might have to look at localised or replicated to get this working the way you want.
