Prevent auto EJECT of Tape after a Restore

Hello,

we are using Symantec Backup Exec. 12.5 Sp4.

When i do a succesfull restore of some data the backup tape is REJECTED.

Where in Symantec can i configure this to change this? I want the possibility to do a restore from the same tape without pushing the tape back in the unit.

Best Regards

Maurice

In the Restore window, under Settings - Pre/Post Commands, is there any post command to eject a tape post a successful restore.

Typically, from the GUI, there isn't any way to automatically eject a tape post a restore, unless using a Post command.

Backup exec would eject the tape if the tape which you have in the drive does ot have the data which you want to restore i.e. if you have a incorrect tape in the drive
