Problems with viewing job log in 11d

wherring

Have just upgraded to Backup Exec 11d and installed all Hotfixes. Backups are working fine but I'm unable to view the job logs.

When I try to open a job log in Backup Exec beserver.exe uses a lot of RAM (an extra 800mb) and CPU and the application becomes non-responsive. It's necessary to restart the Backup Exec services to regain control.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Can you check how big are your job log?  Check the XML files located "\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Data"

Another question,  Did you have selected to backup the Exchange mailboxes on this job?

The XML files are around 170mb.

Yes, I did select backup of Exchange mailboxes, I do recall now that when I set up the backup job that a warning message came up about this but I admit I hadn't got around to reading the documentation about that.
