Installing licensing requires a restart of all Backup Exec services. This means any running jobs will be terminated. Warning of this is inadequate and, ultimately, the need to restart the services is a bizarre requirement altogether, just for entering licensing information. We should not need to go through the product installation process to achieve this.
The product appears to sync with the online licensing data when installing the renewed product IDs. Why not simply have it synchronise, without the need to reenter the same entitlement IDs as already exist!?
Rationalise/consolidate all licensing related items, in the application. Current menu options could easily be combined into one window, covering all three subject matters:
