Quantum SDLT 320 Drive Showing up as 15 different Drives in Veritas 9.1

I am having a problem with Veritas 9.1 showing 15 different drives of the Quantum SDLT 320 Drive. Then under each drive it's showing 15 tapes. We are having a problem because we only have 1 license for the SDLT but since 15 of them are showing up the backup fails. The OS on this server is Windows 2003.

Thanks for any help!!

Sounds like a OS or SCSI cards problem.
If its a single tape drive it sounds as if you have multilun enabled in the SCSI card and its showing on all 15 scsi IDs

Well, I checked the LUN support for multiple and that was disabled. Tried enabling it and disabling it. But that does not seem to change anything.

Hi,

Is this drive being correctly shown under Windows Device manager ?

Quantum SDLT 320 Drive is a standalone drive or do you have a library ?

Is the device LUN based ? Have you checked the compatibility and installed latest drivers ?
