When a tape has run out of space in the middle of a job is the only option for it to rollover onto scratch media? Is there an article describing the rollover process in Backup Exec 2010?
What happens if you have a scratch tape and an overwriable tape available? Will it always rollover onto the scratch media first before the overwritable media? I just want to be sure my overwritable tape that will be used for another job later on at night will not be used as a rollover tape for a job that runs out of space earlier in the job process.
The second and subsequent tapes have to be overwritable tapes. It will not necessarily be a scratch tape. The search criteria is given in this document
