Quirk with Exchange restore - BE 15 and Exchange 2013

Hello,

We recently added our Exchange 2013 server into our backup jobs and we've been successfully getting full backups and differential backups.  We noticed a quirk though when it comes to doing a restore.

With every other server (including Exchange 2007) when we wanted to do a restore we could simply right-click on the server name > choose Restore > this launches the Restore wizard and we can proceed through the various prompts/screens and into individual backups sets and folder structure.

With Exchange 2013, we get stopped dead in our tracks using that method.  It only displays the tree structure one level below the "Microsoft Information Store" and that's it.  We don't see the Exchange databases, backup sets by date, individual mail files, etc.

The only way I can see the expected tree structure in the Restore wizard is by initiating the Restore dialogue from either inside the Job Monitor or from the Server list by double-clicking on the server name and getting into the details area.  Then from either the Job Monitor or inside the Server detail, we can use the "Restore backup sets created by this job" button.  Then, and only then, will we see the expected tree structure within the restore dialogue.

I've attached two screenshots that show the difference in the Restore wizard view, depending on how the Restore wizard is launched.  Has anyone else experienced this with Exchange 2013 restores?  Any fixes?  It's a nuisance there's this added quirk when doing an Exchange 2013 restore and how it behaves differently than every other server we are backing up.

what type is your exchange servers? (physical or virtual)

do you see different icons next to your exchange server in the server list? because you need to select the server that is preceeded by the exchange icon to have the correct selection from where to initiate the restore.
