I'm using Backup Exec 2012.
Backup job for one linux server fails with error:  e000ff11 - A communications failure has occurred with a Linux or Unix resource.
V-79-57344-65297
I confirmed TCP Port 10000 is opened and the security credential is correct.

Using RALUS version: 14.0.1798.0.
OS: RHEL 5.4

You can also check if IPv6 has been enabled on the system. If yes then please try to disable IPv6 and re-run the backup and check.

I noticed the Symantec Endpoint Protection installed on the media server, it seems to be blocking the connection. After disabling the firewall it worked fine.

I didn't notice it because all other backup jobs had been worked fine.
