Read-only access for BackupExec 12

Hi,

I want to give one of my techinicans read-only access to BE12 but not access to the server that it is installed on.

Is there a way of doing this so he can monitor jobs from his PC?

Thanks in advance,

Giles

Great, thanks.  But how do I restrict access to read-only.  I don't want him to be able to amend backup jobs.

I am looking for a way to do this same very thing.  Any one have any work arounds?

Used to be an ADD-ON called ExecView that would do just this (plus allow you to respond to alerts)

Only problem is that when v10 came out there was no ExecView.  And hasn't been one since

Every version at least a few people ask for this capability, but Veritas and now Symantec seem to have no interest in responding

As it stands, the ID you login to RemoteAdmin with needs Admin Rights on the media server, and there is no way around this
