I am trying to use IDR to recover a PC with Windows XP on it.
The bootable CD completes and the PC reboots to the Disaster Recovery Wizard.
I put in the diskette with the IDR and I choose Automated and use the original config in the Modify Hard Disk Layout screen. Then I choose the "Use the network to restore from a remote media server".
It goes out and finds the remote media server but I get the error message that the Remote Agent is not Installed.
I see it try to load the remote agent but it fails. When I tried to push the remote agent to this XP PC I got the error message that RPC server is unavailable and did a local installation per tech bulletin 255826.
How can I get around this problem.
