Regard on BKF issue

For example, I using backup exec 2010, platform is w2k8 r2 std.
And my backp data is backup to server A, D drive daily.

If I copy the backup data to external HD and copy to other server B, will I able to restore the *bkf files at server B, without using the backup exec 2010.

Are there any options to use other software then BE to restore data from *.bkf files?

Kindly advise me.

I guess Windows NT backup can be used to restore flat files from .BKF files.

wow, has anyone tried that before ?
sounds great that the .BKF created by the BE 2010 can be read and restored using the NTBackup Utility.

I got read that NTBackup Utility can restore .BKF files.
But is it still the best to use BE to restore the .BKF files, that mean every server i need to install BE is it?

Kindly advise.

great, it is good to know that the .BKF files can be read by windows builtin NTBackup Utility.
