Hi,
I have many problems to reinstall my library IBM TS3100 on Windows Server 2003.
As I understand I have to install the windows drivers for two device: the jukebox and the tape drive
The tape drive seems installed well (under windows device manager) but the jukebox is unknown.
Then I tried to download the drivers from the IBM site but I cant find the drivers for 2003, just only for 2008.
How can I solve this issue ?
thank very much

you can use tapeinst.exe to install the symantec drivers for the tape devise

BE requires that the tape library appear in the Windows Device Manager as an Unknown Medium Changer with a Microsoft driver. Do NOT use a IBM driver for your library.
The tape drive should appear in the Windows Device Manager WITH a Symantec driver.

Hi,
How I know if the library is properly installed under BE ?
For example, if I right click on "robotic library" and then "details", I read "IBM 3573-TL" and not IBM TS3100. Anyway the 3573 is the IBM type machine of TS3100... I am a bit confused..

...BE sees what Windows sees, and the drivers must be correct in Windows first. The "IBM 3573-TL" is simply the identification within BE itself, don't worry about that. It refers to the TS3100 model.
Within BE you'd have the robotics showing with the tape drive underneath it.
Thanks!

ok, but under Windows Device Manager I still have "unknown" under jukebox..
I mean, after ran tapeinst.exe

...and that is 100% correct.
Thanks!

The OP stated that the robotics shows up as Unknown medium changer already.
Thanks!
