Reintalling Backup exec 12.5

hi everyone, and sorry for my english

i have a problem with backup exec 12.5 , and i want to reinstall it on the media server but the question
is if i reinstall Backup exec on the media server , should i reinstall all the DLO agents from all the computers where it's installed
and if there is a procedure to do it properely please show me.

You need not to install the DLO agents as they are already installed the way raws get installed on the remote server BUT if you have lot of users configured in the BE you will loose those if you will uninstall and install it completely from scratch.

Well, if Backup Exec 12.5 already exists on the server, it would amount to a repair. So this wouldn't affect your DLO agents. If you changed the name of the server and were reinstalling after that, I would suggest reinstalling the DLO on all user PCs affected.
the DLO agent would be looking at the old name, not the new name. This would prevent any troubleshooting on a large # of PCs which would be unnecessary.
