A client of mine hasn't had a successful daily backup in over a month. Here is the error:
Final error code: a00084f9 HEX Final error description: A communications failure has occurred between the Backup Exec job engine and the remote agent. Final error category: Resource Errors
The daily backup job only has local selections. There is a NAS weekly backup job that uses the Remote Agent but it's working fine.
I've recreated the daily backup job and installed the latest tape drives.
Go to the support home page for BackupExec for Windows http://www.veritas.com/be_support/www?cmd=landing&product_code=10 servers and enter the error code in the search window. There should be several hits that will allow you to froubleshoot this
