Remote Agent fails when backing up Exchange

My client has a Windows 2003 SBS system currently running Backup Exec 10d.

For some time the backup fails when it tries to backup Exchange, no mailboxes or database are backed up.

The Remote Agent service stops.

I upgraded from version 10 to 10d and applied SP3 and hotfix 48 however the fail remains.

I have run the remote agent and job engine services in debug mode. Do you have a way I can submit the logs?

The event logs shows an event ID 100 Application Error -

Faulting application beremote.exe version 10.1.5629.34, faulting module BEDSMBox.dll, version 10.1.5629.0, fault address 0x0001dd54.

I am having the same issue. Started after I applied Windows Updates about 2 weeks ago. I have no service packs installed on my 10d server. Fails ONLY on the exchange backup, not any other backup.

If anyone has an answer on this, please share. I hate not having a backup of my info store..
