We recently updated Backup Exec from 11d to 12.5 on a Windows 2003 and Mac OS 10.5 Both installation finished successfully as per the installation given on the BeAdmin documentation. We also updated and installed all recommended Hot fixes for both. However, whenever running a restore job to a MAC workstation running OS 10.5 - Beremote crashes in the middle of the job. The breaking point can be at any % of the backup job - Sometimes 5GB some others 140GB. I have enabled Debug mode on the Mac Agent and enabled monitoring on the Server. The job always fails with the following error "V-79-57344-65072 - The connection to the target system has been lost. Backup set canceled" - The Mac agent crashes and I will have to restart the Mac to advertise itself. Beremote does not log any entries and the Windows eventvwr logs Event ID 34113 Backup Exec Alert - Job Failed: - The Job failed with the following error: A communication failure has occurred.
